Yasmeen Ohebsion

Yasmeen Ohebsion

Founder & CEO

Yasmeen Ohebsion is a first-generation Iranian American Jew, driven by an unwavering commitment to justice and her Jewish identity. Yasmeen’s journey as an advocate for the Jewish community began in early 2023 when she co-founded the Movement to Address Antisemitism at Tulane University. She led efforts to make antisemitism education mandatory for all students, meeting with Tulane’s administration over 36 times to push for change. Those efforts mobilized over 15% of the student body and united more than 20 campus organizations in solidarity. Yasmeen has served on the board of Chabad at Tulane, as one of two student members of Tulane’s Antisemitism Task Force, and as a member of Tulane’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Feedback Committee helping foster community and a sense of belonging for Jewish students.

This passion for advocacy has extended far beyond her own campus. Yasmeen has testified before the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce about the rising antisemitism on college campuses, and has worked with Jewish leaders such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog, and members of the Knesset. Her work also extends to global initiatives including participation as a Birthright Israel Excel Fellow in Tel Aviv, gaining experience in venture capital while deepening her connection to Israel. Yasmeen is a recipient of the Lion of Judah award from Israel Bonds and the Partnership in Heroism award from the State of Israel.

The rising tide of antisemitism has proven that there is a clear need for Yasmeen’s knowledge and advocacy to extend far beyond her own campus. When the post-October 7th climate worsened, she saw her peers struggle to mobilize and knew she had to act. Yasmeen has dedicated her post-college career  to creating Our CampUs United—ensuring students have access to the tools, support, and guidance they need to confront hate and celebrate Jewish pride.

Our CampUs United allows students to focus on what truly matters—bringing joy to their communities, deepening their connection to Judaism, and building resilience—without the overwhelming burden of navigating antisemitism alone. Together, we are creating a world where Jewish students and their allies feel safe, empowered, and united to drive change.
